Observing Systems
The Seim Lab is responsible for or a significant partner in each of the following
NCCOOS - assets from the Seim, Luettich and Werner Labs in North Carolina that are available in near-real time
SEACOOS - an Office of Naval Research project funded 2002-2008 that assembled observing system assets from North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida
SECOORA - the regional association for the southeast United States, incorporated in June 2007, of which UNC-CH is a member. Seim is currently Vice-Chair of the Executive Committee
SABSOON - an ocean observatory based at a range of Navy-owned offshore platforms off the coast of Georgia which Seim helped found and which hosted the SABLAM modeling project. Webpages associated with the project:
