Please excuse the image quality. These pictures were taken with a Nikon L11 purchased in Morehead City a couple of weeks ago in complete haste to fill a business need by spending as little money as possible. The Nikon L11 is a camera designed to teach you how much money you really need to spend on a camera. That is, it is little better than your average web cam and not long after purchasing one you will know you needed to spend much more. You will notice the pictures getting progressively more grainy, overexposed, and out of color balance as the day gets longer, not that they are great in the middle of the day. Also, it ate two sets of batteries and stranded us in front of the main cathedral ten minutes after the stores where we could get more batteries all closed for the day (no 24 hour convenience stores here). Tomorrow we pull out the big guns take a proper Canon camera with us to Syracuse. Today was just an experiment to see if we could get away with this relatively lightweight Nikon camera. The results are in: we can't.
